Mona resides in a senior condominium community in Sunrise, Florida. Up until last October my younger brother Jimmy was her roommate. He has since moved to Colorado. This time in her life has been bittersweet. She is fiercely independent but struggles with her diminishing group of friends, some who have passed and some who have moved. I convinced her recently to start swimming in the local pool, she goes every morning.
